As a YA reader... I like to see the author not make a Mary-Sue -- someone who is seen as perfect without mistakes whether it be a character flaw or physical.

I like to see good characters, good plot full of surprises and twists, I'd like some funny lines, and the romance. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I always like to see that

As a YA reader, I prefer when the story is full of love and romance. I'm a real romance-addicted But I think a good YA book requires really special characters who have elaborate background and yeah, mysterious.

Hmmm, I like romance just as much as any girl. But its always better when there is some controvery or serious obstical. Easy love sucks.

They said Bella in Twilight and Clary of TMI were Maru Sue characters... I wonder why authors make their heroines that way.

When they make the characters relatable...real even if they arent human:) I like that. With personal quirks and issues any reader can sit back and say, hey, I went through that when I was teen, or I'm going that same crap with my boyfriend/parents. Ednah

I think strong characters, alot of action and alot of paranormal twists make a good story kick ass heroines and heroes all the way. What about boys who quote poetry between kicking ass? Or cook, or play an instrument. I want to write about a hero who plays a guitar...lol Ednah

A well intentioned boy that's not just looking for the next best thing Sounds like Bran, but Sykes is always looking, so don't rule him out yet. Ednah

Yeah, a good plot is important along with some mystery and plenty of special moments...that's what I call the time the hero and heroine are together talking and making out. Ednah
